The Watermark hotel is new, clean and great value. It's right in the middle of Surfers Paradise and 500 metres to the beach. Although we had public transport, we found renting a car was the easiest and most convenient way to get around (and turned out cheaper too). Heaps of Car Hire companies to choose from, so we ended up with a Rental from East Coast Car Rentals which was recommended as car hire company from the hotel. We were also allowed to return at Brisbane Airport and it was cheap. Every on the gold Coast is so friendly and helpful. My only fear was the kids at the pool! And paying the credit card...

Overall, the hotel had decent services and interior, in fact, to my opinion, looked as newest hotel around due to its modern look design. Our room was one queen bed and one single bed, supposed to accommodate up to three guests. But to our suprise, we had to pay AUD 2/day for safe deposit box in the room.. Clean bathroom but not many amenities, just basic shampoo and soaps. Housekeeping certainly did their duties well. Horrible was the swimming pool, they had 2 swimming pool on different floors and the one we tried was lots of rubbish, strong chlorine, bit muddy. We tried the jacuzzi next to pool but my hubby did say it smelt as if beer had been poured in... Tour Operator: None
