They were so mean and nasty to us at the Hermes Hotel. I have never seen a hotel maid grumble at me before because she was asked to send up an extra towel and pillow. The room was fine but for the beds were hard as rock and no door can easily be closed at night so they were banging all night from people closing them if they left their rooms (when I say I didn't sleep one wink, I mean it). The restaurant was vile and full of lower to middle class tourists. There are no in-room safes and you must rent them and when we had already given the safe key back they tried to tell us we had not done so. The views are nice and the pool is lovely and it is centrally located. Also if you are handicapped do not stay here most rooms you have to climbs stairs to get to. I would not stay here again... Thankfully my stay there was only for one night.

We stayed at the Hermes Hotel in Agios Nikolaos in late October 2007, it was the last week of the season but this did not seem to matter at all. The hotel rooms are serviced daily, and I mean clean bed linen as well as towels! The hotel was spotless, it is a very roomy hotel everywhere except the lifts but you don't wait long for the next one. The restaurant food was exceptional, but breakfast could be cool if you wanted bacon eggs and beans etc. We were half board and I was glad because if you go all inclusive you get to wear a blue wristband, looks like a hospital band, would spoil your photo's! We were never in the hotel during the day so really would not of needed to go full board, many trips are all day and include BBQ's so save a bit of your money and go half board. Only things I comment on, being a Brit I missed my tea/coffee making facilities in the room, so we bought our own including water and kettle. Also the Hermes Hotel does not have a childrens club or play area for them to let off steam, and by the sound of it kids needed to, so be warned! The staff were friendly but not overly so which was nice as you get left alone and not pestered. I would return to the Hermes hotel more than happily in the future.

We booked a late availability holiday at the the Hermes Hotel Agios Nikolaos in October and were very pleased with the hotel. The staff were helpful and cheerful - especially Dino who ran the bar! Obviously a man who liked his job and kept his customers happy. They should give him a large pay rise! The hotel's situation was superb and the meals were good. Would not hesitate to go there again.

I have been to this resort 6 times in all and always promised myself that when I had made a few shilling that this was the hotel I would stay at, having stayed in pensions and rooms on earlier holidays. I was right and this place lived up to all my expectations. Most of the other guests we spoke to during our stay had been there before at least once which says a lot. The rooms were wonderful - we had a seaview room overlooking the bay and could see right over to the other side of the harbour. Not even 5 mins walk into town (harbour area). Staff were wonderful and could not do enough for us. We booked half board and in a 2 week stay were not disappointed with the food, although we would not go for the all inclusive as you would be tempted to stay in the hotel and that would be a shame. For sure I will be back in Agios Nikolaos and would definitely book the Hermes hotel again.

The family and I enjoyed two lovely weeks at the Hermes Hotel over July. The weather is guartanteed to be good of course but everything else was quite superb too. The kids were well entertained, bars are great and sunshine is magical.
