We stayed here last year and in the apartment that you see with the balcony over looking the pool... if you like tiny rooms that you couldn't swing a cat around in and music playing all night every night until 6am and a main road right next to your front door... then this is the place for you. I've been going to Crete since 1992, so I've a good idea of whats good and what's not so good... trust me on this one. Look elsewhere for somewhere to stay... you'll thank me for it.

I only checked out of the dyktinna apartments a few hours ago and can put my hand on my heart when I express the sheer fun that I had whilst staying there. Run by the most magnificent family I think I will ever have the pleasure of meeting. Michael, George and the unforgettable Billy (cheeky monkey). The 3 amigos, as my hubby and I called them. The most fantastic fun has to be guaranteed here. Michael has left Billy with the Filia and now has the Dyktinna, with his gorgeous wife Marina, son Manos and the most beautiful baby in the world, Babas! I totally recommend the barbecue night on a Monday. Excellent value for such fabulously cooked food - George is the best. My husband enjoyed the snails! From the bottom of my heart, my husband and I truly enjoed our stay at the Dyktinna. They are fantastic people and it was a pleasure becoming friends with them. We are definitely returning next year to see them all again. Billy is the funniest and most mental barman anyone will ever meet! I'll never forget him falling over whilst shaking his cocktails. 180 for non-slip shoes! So funny! Being allowed to use the facilities of the Filia as well as the Dyktinna was great when it came to wanting a change. The food between these 2 places was wonderful, and excellent value for money, cheaper than in the resort itself. Marina's breakfasts are well worth 11. The eggs are spot on! I have memories to last a lifetime from this holiday. You really are only 5 mins away from the beach and bars/shops etc. Great location beyond your expectations. Can't wait to go back!

I stayed at Dyktinna Apartments with my boyfriend June '06 and it was great. The rooms are clean and spacious. Michael the barman was really nice, he remebered our names and spoke to us every day. There was an English couple there who had moved out there after going for years. They help michael and his wife daily, they are a really nice couple. They made our stay even nicer too. It's a fantastic place to go, I am trying to go back to the same apartments. I hope they remember us when we go back. I would truly recommend going there to anyone. Stalis is one of the best places I have been too!
