Before going I read reviews on Kontonis Studios hotel and was quite worried by what people were saying about Takis, the hotel owner. But he was class! Absolutely lovely guy, his wife was lovely too. We always had a laugh with them! As for the 'no people allowed in you room', we were fine, we had people in our room quite a lot and nothing was ever said. The hotel is not amazing, very basic and no pool, but there are 2 pools nextdoor you can use which are very nice. Takis also owns a shop which is very good. Overall it's a family run hotel with Takis, his wife and kids, his brother, mother and father all living on the top floor, so obviously he asks for respect. If you come home and make a lot of noise he will not be happy. But we were drunk every night and quite loud within reason, as were a lot of the guests, and there was no problem. So unless you're a complete idiot when drunk you will be fine! Takis and family are so lovely! Location is very close to beach and lots of bars and restaurants, the best was literally round the corner called Avanti! Nice food and all the guys are so lovely! The strip is about a ten minute walk but if you don't want to walk a taxi is about 5 euros! Nice place to stay, good location, very friendly and lovely staff! Cleaned every day, except only changed sheets one a week.
