Muntanya Mar is well placed being halfway between the old town and the newer resort of S'Abenell.
The apartments are halfway up a hill (hence the name), quite new and well-kept, with a small pool (sun goes behind the building in the afternoon and it's not heated so mornings are best in the pool), sunbeds but strangely no sun umbrellas.
There's a bar that serves snack, chips & pizzas etc. The staff don't speak too much English but are friendly. You have to make up your own bed and no-one comes in during your stay to tidy up (mop and brush provided - I wish all apartments did!) so if you want a change of linen you have to ask for them.
The bar area is a bit dead at night - not somewhere to spend an evening really.
Note the apartments are arranged so that they all face the sea which is nice but are arranged around little courtyards which act as a sound funnel. More than once someone had to be told to be quiet after 11pm.
They provide a list of instructions including 'don't hang towels on the balcony' but everyone does so ignore this! However, airers are not provided so bring your travel washing line. Oh, and they require 100Euros depost which you'll get back if you don't smash the place up!
Rooms are a decent size and beds comfy, apartments close enough to the beach (10 minutes walk) to make the trip undaunting for this arthritis sufferer! So altogether a decent place to stay.
