Club Montecastillo is in a lovely location only a ten minute stroll from the beach and beside the Montecastillo Centre. It has a great pool bar which does free barbecue and paella for guests twice weekly. The larger bar Zanzibar has a restaurant where you can sit and enjoy the evening shows which were a lot better than most shows we have seen in resorts. We stayed with our two teenage sons and were worried that they might be bored but there was plenty for them in both the complex and the resort. Club Montecastillo has one of the largest pools in Fuerteventura. The pool bar has a lovely jacuzzi beside it. There is a gym, sauna, squash courts, volleyball, mini golf, boules/petanque, table tennis and other games tables around the pool. The water sports in the area are excellent and as it is a very safe resort we did not need to worry about giving them their freedom (within limits). The bungalows are a lovely design and have a very spacious feel because of the high ceilings. As the complex is being refurbished and the bungalows are now privately owned many of them include a lot of extras. Ours had an Xbox 360 which was a bonus for the boys. It also had an oven and grill and iron/board and hairdryer. We booked on the Internet and were able to choose which bungalow we wanted and were delighted with the poolside one that we choose. We have booked again for Christmas because we enjoyed it so much. Caleta is a very handy destination and very cheap to get to now with Ryanair flying from Dublin and Liverpool. The bungalow only cost us €250 per week and we would have been happy to pay more because it was lovely. There was a HD tv and DVD in the bungalow also and a selection of films for us to watch. Excellent value and an excellent location.
