I have just returned from the Puerto Feliz Apartments after a weeks holiday with my husband and three young children. Puerto Rico is a valley and these apartments are high up on one side of this valley - around 200 steps up!!! My first impressions of the place were not great. We arrived at night time and having read reviews about the noise did expect some noise but I can only say I have never heard such a "mix" of sound that I can honestly say was definitely noisy and kept us awake! It went on until at least 3:30am and even with the windows shut it was audible!!! However by the third night I had become used to it and I have to say it did not spoil our holiday! The apartments were basic - clean and very comfortable with a large balcony and great views. We had 2 apartments beside each other. The pool was pleasant with a nice poolside bar with adequate food! The apartments are close to entertainment, and there was plenty for us to do. All in all although the first impressions weren't good we had a lovely holiday. The apartments were more than adequate - they were cleaned every day - beds made and clean towels povided. There is a safety deposit box (€6 for a key) and a TV if you feel the need to stick a few euros in it and watch a film or the news!!!! We did not pay over the odds for this place and all in all I would say it's a good place but it is noisy!! Weather was superb and it was a lovely holiday!

The rooms at the Puerto Feliz were just right for the three of us. We went in a group of six and got two rooms, three in each. It had a lovely balcony where we probably spent most of our time whilst we were in the room. The pool was lovely with a magnificent view looking over Puerto Rico. The pool has its own bar which served all types of food, perfect for those hangovers! We could also take our pints and sit beside the pool with them which I thought was great. The hotel is literally 2 minutes away from the shops which is very convienent if you suddenly run out of booze. The shops are so cheap.

Everything you need - a roof over your head while you explore the area and enjoy great bars, happy friendly people and wonderful beaches. Sun and fun and good walking. Puerto FEliz is pretty close to the commercial center though, so can get noisy but what do you expect? bring earplugs or find somewhere further away. Enjoyed the entertainment, though apprently this is only in summertime.
