The El Trebol we found to be very nice. Pools were kept clean, rooms basic but adequate. We were half-board but found it necessary to eat out on a number of evenings; I am by no means a fussy eater but nothing I liked the look of, same for all our party. I feel that the food was the only downside and would not go half-board again. Thomas Cook rep was very good. My 5 year old granddaughter slipped and cut her head and required stitches (on arrival!!) and the doctor who tended her was also very good, the scar will be hardly visible - lovely job.Would go back to this hotel but self catering next time.

El Trebol Hotel location: The location is very good, only a couple of minutes away from the beach. Also, just outside the back entrance is a spar arcade where there is Internet, bars, gift shops and a British registered tattooist. Staff: The staff were very kind, especially the bar maid who was always very friendly and kind. Entertainment: The entertainment was quite good, a mini-disco first, then bingo where you could win usually about 80 - 100 euros, then a cabaret (reptiles, parrots, birds of prey, acrobatics etc.) However, if you stay for two or more weeks they repeat the same show. Cleanliness: The rooms and pool were kept clean. The rooms were cleaned at least 5 days a week, and the pool cleaned every day. Food: The food was nice, a range of it each day, all inclusive was well worth it, as you could get as many ice-creams, drinks, chips, burgers etc. whenever you felt like it, although you had to wear a stupid green bag. Overall I would rate this hotel 4 (or 4 and a half) out of 5!!

Just returned from a fortnights holiday at the El Trebol apts. We had a fantastic holiday in Costa Teguise which is a lovely resort with lots to do to suit all ages. The El Trebol apartments are situated about 10 minutes from La Cuchares beach and about 15/20 minute stroll from the centre of Costa Teguise with its good array of tapas bars, English bars, Spanish resteraunts (try LANIS at the top of Teguise just behind the main beach. Fantatic food but be prepared to wait as it gets very busy but well worth it) and childrens games arcades and playgrounds. Immediately outside the apartments are a few English bars....Chequers, Ferraris, Legends and Cactus Jacks. Good if you like that kind of thing ohhh and the El Trebol snack bar where you could get a large beer in frozen glasses. Hubby was well pleased. Now onto the complex itself. The new reception is kept impeccable with friendly staff. Rooms basic but roomy and clean enough. Maids came round nearly every day but only changed sheets twice in our stay there :-( The pool area was gorgeous (but NO LIFEGUARDS) with lots of palm trees and cacti. There was also a few bird of paradise plants dotted here and there. The pool itself was cleaned daily and the gardens are very well kept. The maintenance men work really hard all day long so a big thumbs up to them. The pool is cold at first but you get used to it. Our son, Cameron, was in there nearly every day. Now... the food!!!! We went with an open mind baring in mind we had been reading the reviews for months beforehand. The first few days were fine. You get the usual stuff. Breakfast consisted of Spanish rashers, eggs fried, boiled, scrambled. Cereals, fruit, pancakes cooked in front of you, pastries, etc, etc. Lunch at the snack bar was a bit naff really. The restaurant had chicken, fish, pasta salads, cold meats. All edible but became a tad mundane. Dinner was pretty much the same but more varied. The mexican night was good. Tortillas, nachos, fahitas, chilli con carne. They had a chinese night too. I'm VERY fussy when it comes to food so I was a bit cheesed off by the end of the holiday but John and Cameron would of been happy to eat there every night. The entertainment was ok. Something different every night although the kids disco was the same every night. All in all, a good place to stay. I only give the place a 7 scoring cause of the food and the fact that there was little or no security in the complex and we never once saw a lifeguard round the pool. We'll defo be going back to Teguise but will stay in the centre as there's a lot more to do there.

El Trebol - Brilliance
El Trebol was a lovely resort with lots of things to offer, the service was brilliant. Try to book All Inclusive as the food is brilliant. Rooms are very spacious and they have great views from the balconies. This is certainly not a 3* hotel, more a 4* hotel.

Avoid H/B, food not good. Caters more for German taste. Biggest problem is food not warm enough and very limited choice. Good restaurant beside hotel better option. Tour Operator: Airtours

Was a bit dubious after reading some of the reviews about this place but no problems what so ever. The area outside the hotel was a bit run down however its just a 5 minute walk to the beach. Went s/c so cant comment on the food. Everything very clean and tidy with maid service 5 times a week. Kids loved the pools (freezing by the way) so much they didn't want to go to the beach. There is a good range of restaurants etc - try the Irish bailey around the bay by the Puerto Tachie hotel - very nice staff and good food. Tried to go back this year - however First choice have stopped going here - shame really as very good affordable holiday. Tour Operator: Firstchoice

The el Trebol from the front looks terrible; you have to walk through a covered way to get to the reception and it can put you off straight away, but once you are there its nice: very clean, and people are really friendly. One thing I would not recommend is to go half board here: its always cold and sometimes not cooked, but would go again, but only self catering. Tour Operator: Cosmos

Hotel was nice, rooms were quite basic but clean and comfortable. There is a huge freeform pool which is lovely to sit by. Food was good, lots of choice always hot and well presented. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Tour Operator: Thomas Cook

El Trebol
Have stayed here many times before, but the place has gone downhill. Manager not available, staff lie. At first manager away for 1 month, then promised will contact us next day (never did). When in his office too busy to see us; only when I said I was moving out was anything done. Still never got to see the manager in a 4 weeks stay; I asked each day. Confirmation faxes not replied to, then room not available or arrival. Cooker faulty: kept blowing cct breakers: was eventually changed. Fridge faulty, repaired several times, then replaced, still did not work. TV not working for 3 out of 4 weeks. Remote had to be changed: given one stuck together with card and tape: had to hold battery in to use it. No security: doors do not open easily, and not locked easily. If you did manage to lock them, cleaner then left them open. Telephone not working, no hot water, WC faulty, need I go on?? Have to rent basic items such a kettle (at 22 euros, went and bought a new one in town for 14 euros)
