Wouldnt stay again - AA. Date of travel: Apr 2010
I have just returned from a weeks holiday in lanzarote where i stayed in the Villa Lidia with 13 other members of my family. On arrival we were met by Peter who is the manager of the villa. He told us that even though we were meant to vacate the villa by 10am the day of departure that we could stay on there untill we had to leave for the airport (3.30pm) because the villa wasnt being rented for another few wks. Naturally we were delighted about this and very grateful. On the Tuesday night we went to the restaurant next door to the villa and Lidia the owner met us there, she told us that she was waiting there hoping we would be coming in. She said that she had a last minute booking for the day we were due to leave from some "hotshots" from Madrid. She went on to say that even though Peter told us we could stay in the villa until we were due to leave would we mind vacating the bedrooms by 10am and we could stay on in the other half of the hse while the cleaning was being done. We were happy with this. The day before we were due to leave some delivery men arrived saying they had items for Lidia to drop off. they delivered dozens of tables & chairs into the garden, which we were using. That night when we returned after dinner there was another delivery and we couldn't park the car because the entire garden was full. Next morning we were packed & vacated half the house when Lidia Stormed into the house telling us that we had to get out straight away. firstly we were shocked by her tone & the way she spoke to us, when we started to argue this she said she wanted us out asap & walked us out. my parents are both 80, we had two small children and I am 6 months pregnant and we were thrown out into the street.
