Nice Hotel - Doreen and Robert. Date of travel: Nov 2006
We rented a car in Palma and drove to Puerto Pollensa, started looking for somewhere to stay noticed the Romantic Hotel on left, went in to inquire. That was the start of the nicest holiday for years, the lady on reception could not have been more polite, mind you this was late November 2006 so bit out of season. She said €35 a night per room with breakfast, and then gave us 4 sets of keys to pick the best one of the 4 rooms, 2 had no view being very close to another building but as for the other 2 rooms we were spoilt for choice. Instead of staying for 3 days as planned we stayed for the week it was so nice, plenty of cafes and bars still open, as in previous reports about the resort it really is super duper, unspoilt, a bit rustic in places, pine walk very Spanish and a lovely feature. The harbour and beach spotless, weather superb, on 29th November we were swimming in the sea to cool down. If you like walking this is the place to use as a base, really good. We did a lot of walking, once getting lost and being mugged by a group of wild goats, the buggers ate my apple the girlfriends nectarine, then wouldn't leave us, I eventually had to give them my dextrose tablets, me needing them being diabetic. But it was enjoyable, definitely recommend the resort and the Hotel Romantic.
