The Green Beach Resort is 45mins ride from Bodrum. An excellent bus service runs right outside the hotel cost 5 lira. The resort itself has every thing you would want, great pool private beach for swimming or water sports. The staff were brilliant never stopped cleaning, the bar service was good even there was only two bars open a night the free bars close at 11pm. The restaurant and food choice was first class. Beware of the hundreds of Russians bunking the queues no manners at all. The maid service in our room was excellent well worth a good tip.

I have almost finished my hols in Green Beach and I just want to warn other travellers- please don't go there. The service is terrible and you can find much better hotels for the same price. I myself was a witness of fights between Turks and guests and police only take guests not local people and security don't make peace but actually beat the customers with bats and they are very hostile. The hotel is full of Post-Soviet people and not so many Europeans and it is quite far from Bodrum. Spa salon is over priced much too much. Overall- very poor. Barmen throw drinks at you even though you have paid for them in so-called ultra all inclusive package. The rooms floor-we lived in bungalows, don't get washed and shower is terrible. Water is very salty so take masks with you - if you decide to go and give it a try- extreme holidays with lots of fights.
Please do not go, it's the worst holiday I have had in my lifetime - l Smith. Date of travel: Aug 2007

We have just had a two week holiday at this hotel and it was very nice. The hotel is split between the main hotel and bungalows set around 3 swimming pools and an indoor pool. The rooms in the main hotel are better than the bungalows generally they are carpeted, but if you are unhappy with your room see reception in a friendly manner and they will try to find you a better one. The food is varied. Breakfast consists of cereals, breads , omelettes, pancakes and cheeses. Lunch: there are two eating areas, the main restaurant and the pool bar with burgers pizza and fries. Dinner is in the main restaurant with a variety of hot meat and fish , pasta dishes, salads and sweets such as gataux melon and Turkish specialities. Entertainment during the day is by the animation team which consists of volleyball , boules, waterpolo, table tennis ,football etc. The evening entertainment is done by the same people and is very average but this is normal for Turkish hotels. The best night is Turkish night on a Saturday which consists of belly dancer and Turkish dancers. There is also a bazaar around the pool. Don’t buy the fake perfumes they are *rap. Also don’t buy the tobacco from street sellers as it could be toxic (recent tv programme about this). The shop in the hotel is expensive £12 for aftersun , 50% more than face value on stamps in the boutique. The games room is expensive at 10 euro for 1 hr of pool so take something to amuse kids ie rubber rings lilos crocodiles , electronic games. The nearest village is Gundogan 40 mins walk along very steep poor road. The dolmus will take you ther in 10 mins for 1TL or to Bodrum for 3.5TL, only 1 bus an hour in May journey time 45mins not too bad a journey after the first 15 mins. Market day in Bodrum is Tuesday which is above the dolmus station. Ali baba restaurant is good value on the waterfront in bodrum 13 TL for pepper steak with chips and salad. This hotel will suit people who don’t want the constant hassle of the bars and shop owners and who don’t mind the average entertainment in the evening. There is a good disco but this doesn’t start until 11.30 and the kids can go if they behave. All the staff work very hard, most at least 12 hrs a day for £60 a month. Please say hello to Esra, Yusuf and Surup from Technoman, the boules champion for 1 week: they will remember me. Lastly Bodrum airport is a rip off 5 euro for a poor cup of coffee £4.80 for a tube of Pringles. Buy your duty free with cash: they uplift the price they offer you in pounds when they convert to TL by 15%. Also take cash and and hire a safe for 24 euro for 2 weeks you get a better deal all around; or use your cashline card at the atm, very simple Have a good holiday Technoman!!! Tour Operator: Jetline
