I fell for it - the London Nights website offering unbelievably cheap deals on Hogarth Hotel rooms where the "original price" was around Ł400. I actually paid Ł90 - and for what I got even that was a rip off! The room I was given was so small that it contained a double bed with about 450mm all around plus a bathroom so small I could not shut the door when sitting on the toilet. The room was described as "cozy" but this was ridiculous! I was on the ground floor so was so was concerned about traffic noise during the night - but I need not have worried because the sound of a water tank filling completely drowned out the sound of traffic all night - I got no sleep at all. Avoid at all costs.

The Hogarth is the worst hotel at which my husband or I have ever stayed. The room was so tiny that the bathroom door hit the bed when it opened. Although it was conveniently located to the Earl’s Court tube station, it was a little too convenient because the trains’ noise was so loud we could not sleep. The room was stuffy and the only “air conditioning was a tiny oscillating fan or opening the windows, which made the trains louder and wasn’t the best option during rain. The staff members were rude, could not or would not speak English and not knowledgeable. They couldn’t tell us how to dial a UK number or how to get to any of the UK motorways (M1, M4). The cleaning lady insisted on cleaning the room and wouldn’t even wait for us to put our shoes on so we could leave the room while she worked. The worst part of all was the pair of boxer shorts that we found between the pillows in the bed. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone for any reason. If you have reservations here, cancel them and go somewhere else.

This place does not know the meaning of customer service. They are undergoing renovations and as such the sounds of hammering, sawing, drilling, and the smell of paint fumes is all day and into the night. The front desk staff is aloof and at times almost rude. They put me in a 3rd floor room (no elevator) in a detached building across and down the street. If you are looking for customer care, don't look here.
