The Hotel offers great value and I cannot understand the previous commentator. We experienced in March 2007 the exact opposite with great service, wonderful food and staff who are exceptional. We stayed for four nights. I was so impressed that I personally spoke to Euan, the manager, and thanked him for his hospitality, the likes of which is not very often experienced. The rooms were very clean with modern fixtures and fittings (lovely curtains) and the public areas were just superb. We paid for a loch view room at 396.00 inclusive of an outstanding breakfast served in the most inspiring panoramic conservatory with views over the Loch. My only advice is go there, it's wonderful and great value. The bar also holds 40-plus malts as well to help relaxation.

We stayed at the Portsonachan Country Club. We booked at the Good Food show in 2006 and took our break in March 2007 and extended our stay at the same rate of 33.00 per person per night to six nights plus we upgraded at 12.50 each to a Loch View room. The Room was outstanding. McInnes - it's views are beyond belief and it was just so comfortable and clean. The hotel serves breakfast in the conservatory which sits by the Loch with, again, views to die for and the breakfast is just outstanding. We will coming back again & again just to experience the wonderful welcome, great service and those views.
