Hookers with runny facial sores hung out by the poolside bar at the Ocean Manor Resort Hotel harassing us, tying cherry stems into knots with their teeth while their pimps worked on nearby computers. The mob lawyer, a regular, insulted my wife and laughed. Room service overcharged us for inedible food. The bed was like a valley. Paint, plaster, and wallpaper peeling and crumbling from the decrebid walls. The worst part was the massive mob owner who screamed at my wife because, apparently, our dog was too large. Of course, no one bothered to tell us this at check in. He also screamed at a fourteen year old kid for not wearing a shirt in the elevator. Like that would've made this disgusting bordello classy. Please don't stay here. Be warned. It ruined our vacation and was honestly the worst travel experience I've ever had.

We stayed in Ocean Manor Resort for 4 days and booked through VRBO. During that time, we noticed that the building was in great need of repair. There were broken mirrors in the elevator area that was repaired with duct tape, stains on the floors, cracks in the walls, air vents that need to be cleaned, debris piled on rooftops and horrible paint jobs. Also there was a great deal of unsupervised young (meaning well under 25) people there, and they were hosting graduation parties for high school children. It was loud, obnoxious, and there was a fight in the lobby. Every time we went outside we were stopped and asked if we were guests at the resort. It was really annoying. In the pool area, they were blasting loud music with foul language and suggestive material in full listening range of small children. The drinks at the tiki hut were poorly made and outrageously expensive. The room we were staying in was very small, with poor plumbing, a bathroom door that wouldn't close and cracks in the counters and the floors, not to mention the shocking yellow walls, white trim, and green ceilings that made you feel like you were sleeping in a Sprite can. The air conditioning unit was very dusty and sounded like a truck running all night. However, the view was wonderful, and, since the weather was great, we tried to stay out of the room as much as possible. All in all, not one of my better resort experiences. We won't be staying there again.

My sister and I stayed two nights at this hotel. We arrived very late about 1am from California on our way to a cruise. The reservation had been for two beds. What we got was one full bed that was on the floor. The room was musty smelling, the paint was cracked and peeling, half the lamps didn't work or didn't have shades. It was clean. I went and complained loudly to the man at the desk and was told ‘sorry, we are full. I slept on the couch. The next day I talked to the day manager. He moved us to a suite on the tenth floor. This room was stunning! Huge beds in a master bedroom, a small, elegant kitchen and very large sitting room stylishly decorated. The view from the balcony was a wonderful scene of the canal homes and all the lavish yachts. It could well be the best room I've ever stayed in. So, if you choose to go here you don't know what you'll get even with reservations. Would I recommend it? No.
