Darwin
The undaunted city of Darwin clings defiantly to its position at the “top end” of Australia, sited on a rocky peninsula on the country’s north coast. The capital of the Northern Territory, Darwin has been battered by cyclones and bombed during World War II, but still thrives as a worthy holiday spot with bustling shoppingmore streets, shady parks, sidewalk cafes, interesting museums and galleries, and a beautiful natural harbour.
