Capital of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, Halifax is a busy port welcoming small cruise ships and passenger ferries into its large natural harbour. A lively waterfront offering some quirky shops, fine dining, and busy bars is the hub of activity for those who holiday in Halifax, but the real pleasure comes in exploringmore
An historical holiday - Debbie King. Date of travel: Sep 2004
I visited Halifax, and St. John on a carnival cruise, Halifax is such an interesting place, with lots of history and of course the Titanic Museum, could spend alot of time here, so easy to get around using the hop on hop off bus. St. John is a small town with lots of shops and alot of history too, take a horse-drawn carriage around the town. People very friendly. Cost of living a little cheaper than ours. Tour Operator: Cruise - Carnival
