This is the part of Spain reserved for non-party animals! There are no clubs here, instead excellent restaurants, romantic cafes and some stunning scenery. We've been exploring this region on and off for the last 4 years and can recommend it to anyone who loves wildlife, beauty, countryside, unspoilt beaches and good food - just don't tell anyone else about it or they'll all want to come!
I loved the unspoilt Spain in El Puerto de Santa Maria - Jo Pearce. Date of travel: Aug 2007
The Costa de la Luz has something for everyone. Rich in historical importance the cites of Seville and Cadiz are close by. Jerez de la Frontera is a short 20 minutes away ,famous for it's flamenco dancing, sherry and equestrian events. The rural and unspoilt retreats of Grazalema and the Bay of Cadiz, and Doņana Park are ideal for the nature lovers. The resort's main attractions are the miles of long sandy beaches, sunny days and bewitching nights, El Puerto offers something or everyone. The Costa de la Luz is famous for its relaxed atmosphere, its delicious tapas and fresh seafood suppers.
