Visitors to the Canary Islands who want to escape the “madding crowds” can opt for the relatively un-developed island of Fuerteventura, where sunny solitude can be found on one of dozens of beaches, most of them hidden down verdant tracks behind rings of palm trees and exotic plants. There are two modern holiday resort towns, more
Brilliant Fuerteventura! - Saskia Martin. Date of travel: Feb 2009
I love Fuerteventura! It has everything a holiday should have; sun, sand and sea. It's great because you can either have a chilled beach holiday or be more active and do stuff like kite surfing and diving. Caleta De Fuste is my favourite part of the island. Loads of places to eat and drink and some affordable hotels.

Just to let everyone who visits this site and is looking for a great night out in Corralejo. Zumbar in Atlantico Centre is the place to visit for a wicked night out! Owners Pat & Sarah have worked really hard in making this a good night out to be had by all. Staff are all on hand to water & entertain you and the DJs (even the smaller ones) have been known to keep the terrace rocking until you cant dance anymore. Big shout to Frankie, CJ, Laura & Rick for all looking after me and Katie when we were out there and hope to see you all again soon .... Rache xxx
Worth a visit - Gaynor Norris. Date of travel: Jul 2006
We loved our holiday in Fuerteventura, it was worth every penny, wonderful, quiet, value for money, cheap to eat out, the only draw back was that having a 15 year old son there wasnt enough to keep him busy... that is until he met up with other teenagers! The beaches in Fuerteventura were lovely and the bar owners and shop keepers were very pleasant. Tour Operator: Thomas Cook

This is a beautiful part of the world the constant breeze is fantastic if you have children and the sun gets to them!!! We had a great holiday and would return again to the island. The local people are very pleasant and getting around the island is easy either by taxi (which are all the same colour make and model so easily identified) or by hire car. The locals are very understanding that us Brits are rubbish at driving on the 'wrong' side of the road! There are also buses to all the local attractrions and the island now boasts its own McDonalds and Burger King!!! much to our childrens delight! overall 9/10 for the destination. Don't go! - Bridget Johnson. Date of travel: Mar 2004
Arrived at Atlantico Playa to find our rooms ok decor dated and upon moving the cushion off the sofa bed found the remains of the previous partys snacks. Tv in your room which is coin operated and also has channels of an adult nature, this was brought to our attention when the children accidentally found the channel whilst watching tv in the reception area with friends. Be aware also that Atlantico Playa has loads of cats living on the complex and they also have designated feeding area's called 'cats cafe' one of which is just outside the dining room, food is left for them by the guests and it really gets out of hand. All in all i would not reccommend this hotel to anyone which is suprising as this hotel was reccommended to me by our travel agent! Tour Operator: My Travel
