Loved Granada - Jack. Date of travel: Apr 2008
I didn't intend to stay all that long in Granada, but the days kept adding up. A magical town. A mix of Moorish and Andalusian architecture and culture. The streets in the old town (medina) are winding and cobble stone. A deep Moorish feel. Some amazing cafes and pubs around. The Alhambra is the old Moorish rulers stronghold. Amazing and well preserved architecture, unlike anything else in Spain. The town has a very bohemian feel. There is a gypsy museum and near by are some caves where gypsies still make their residence. The flamenco music scene is thriving. If you stay at 'The Oasis' the reception will direct you to some electric pubs with flamenco music and dance.
