Madrid is fantastic! - Bard Vos. Date of travel: Apr 2010
I have visited Madrid on several occasions over the past 9 years and I love the city. From the Regal Plaza Mayor to the tranquilidad of the Parque Retiro, the lovely restaurants and the beautiful buildings. Madrid is simply great!!!

Mad for Malasaña, Madrid
We had a lovely apartment right in the heart of Malasaña, central Madrid. Looking off the roof terrace at night, you can see what gives Madrid its appeal. Nearby we loved the Plaza dos de Mayo for its clutter of "trendy" local bars, tapas and friendly madrileño people. I would also recommend a walk down into Lavapies for some amazing thai food. There's a bunch of restaurants right around the Lavapies metro. Tour Operator: Waytostay.com
Great shopping and restaurants - Linda Steere. Date of travel: Mar 2007
Madrid is a great weekend break with lots of cheap flights to Madrid. I suggest you print off a good travel guide to the city and read up in advance. Theres is some great shopping and the restaurants are out of this world. There are also some world-class museums in Madrid such as the Prado and Thyssen musuems.
Great climate, lovely city - Marcus Porter. Date of travel: Nov 2006
We went on holiday to Madrid on November and the weather was still great, warm days and cool nights. The city is so chilled and small enough to get around easily. Buy a travel guide with a good map, stay centrally and walk everywhere. We didnt do too much sightseeing, just found some nice restaurants and bars and soaked it all up!
Most memorable tour, EVER. - Eduardo. Date of travel: Sep 2006
Most memorable tour, EVER.
I had friends visit from USA and they asked if we could get a Segway (motorised scooter) tour in Madrid. I said it was too expensive but they insisted. I was amazed how easy it was to learn and it was brilliant. A experience I will never forget. On tour we have seen most things I was going to show them that weekend, in only 3 hours. Drinks and photo CD were included - that I did not see when I booked. We entered the Templo de Debod and the Cathederal. The tour is more than you can walk in 3 hours, and you have time to stop for photos and drinks. When we changed from beginners level to intermediate setting it got better. You can go faster and turn harder. Sara has been on the Paris, Washington and Vienna Segway tours and said this was the "best by far". An experience and memory, I will be going again with friends soon. "sightseeing at its best". See www.madsegs.com I think this is short for Madrid Segways.
Tour of Madrid - William Brunnel. Date of travel: Jan 2006
Tour of Madrid
I have been to Madrid a few times and on my last trip I saw a tour like I've never seen before. I stopped the chap and asked ....ended up going on a tour of the city centre on a Segway. Its brilliant, the best expierience I've had in a long time. Have a look at his website www.madsegs.com Ive done some reasearch since then and Segway tours are almost everywhere except here in Scotland which is why I've never seen them before. In future when I travel I will be on the lookout for them as you see so much more and its great just for the ride, but I must admit I was very cold so dress up warm if you are going to try one in the winter. Thank you for the great website and keep it up. Tour Operator: Madsegs.com
