Aghios Stefanos
Situated on the North West coast of the island of Corfu, Aghios Stefanos is a quiet seaside town, a welcomed change to the party orientated package holiday that is changing the face of Greek holidays. With beautiful olive groves, a host of different walks, beautiful beaches and a nice selection of local tavernas and eateries, more
Aghios Stefanos - We love San Stefanos! - Amanda Hewitt. Date of travel: Jul 2009
My family have been going to San Stefanos for about 18 years, after having been to other Greek and Canary islands. Everyone you speak to has been there numerous times because it's so perfect! The beach is beautiful and clean, it's swept every day. The tavernas are numerous, food is delicious and cheap. The set menus are about 8-9 euros for 3 courses. I would recommend it to anyone, except those who like 18-30s style holidays. In San Stefanos you will NOT find numerous bars and discos with drunken yobs puking and fighting. The locals are really friendly. There are a couple of supermarkets selling everything you need. I felt confident enough to go walking round by myself at night. I'm gutted we can't afford to go there this year, but my parents and brother and sister are going, I'm so jealous.
I fell in love with Aghios Stefanos - Mrs Mary Morris. Date of travel: Aug 2008
Aghios Stefanos is a lovely unspoilt resort with spectacular views and many wonderful restaurants. I often prefer to sunbathe around the pool sides as beaches can be noisy, dirty and overcrowded but the beach in Aghios Stefanos was lovely, clean and with plenty of space between the sunbeds.
I loved San Stefanos - Miss Jane McGuirl. Date of travel: Sep 2007
Aghios Stefanos is a beautiful, quiet place but still lots to do and see, the beach is beautiful. There are plenty of bars and restaurants but also a very relaxing place. The people are wonderful kind and friendly. There is a slight hill!! But you get used to it!
Little Prince Sudios San Stefanos Corfu - Dave and Sandra Short. Date of travel: May 2007
A wonderful place where everyone is friendly. Not a place for Disco Lovers - go to Sidari. But there are a couple of music bars. The Food at the Little Prince is wonderful, but so is the food at the Paradise, Waves, and the Teresa (up the hill) where the Greek dancing on BBQ night is breathtaking. The Athens bar is a good spot to meet people, the owner Nikos will make you welcome and give you plenty of laughs. The local bus to Corfu town costs 3.50. The last bus back is 4.00pm. A beer costs on average 2.50, a meal at most tavernas with a litre of local wine costs roughly 24.
Aghios Stefanos - very quiet - Patricia Andrews. Date of travel: Oct 2006
Aghios Stefanos would be ok if you were looking for a very quiet holiday. If you are not prepared to hire a car then there isn't a lot to do other than sun-bathe and go on boating trips, and maybe eating in restaurants.
Wonderful break - Liz P. Date of travel: Jul 2006
A wonderful Corfu holiday for the family. Plenty to keep one occupied and the kids are able to look after themselves. Very good value for money and lovely restaturants all over. One doesn't feel too far away from home as almost everyone spoke English. It can get busy but we were fortunate enough not to be there during peak season.
