Roda
Traces of the former fishing village can be found among the modern buildings in the centre of Roda. Now a popular beach resort, Roda is renowned for its good swimming beach. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy and activities such as watersports, bike trips to inland villages and bus journeys to nearbymore
We loved our trips into Roda - Deb and Clive Macken. Date of travel: Sep 2008
Roda itself is a nice quiet village but there are plenty of nice restaurants to go to if you fancy a change from the hotels food. We fancied a good steak one night so we had a walk into Roda and we were not disappointed - the steaks at the Panorama were to die for!
Roda is a lovely place - Anne and Peter. Date of travel: Sep 2008
Roda is a friendly town with a long sandy beach to enjoy. A wide choice of tavernas (Nikkos Taverna is highly recommended) and bars (Pirates Bar is not to be missed) evening and night entertainment is great. Also a good selection of shops and supermarkets to browse throughout the day (and night). A choice of vehicle hire is available should you wish to take yourself around the beautiful island of Corfu, with Corfu town only 40 minutes away. You can book one of the many tours or boat trips around the island in Roda if you don't wish to drive, and local buses run regularly. A Greek night is not to be missed try one at Sea Breeze in nearby Sidari. For those who enjoy horse riding, that is available as well.Roda is the ideal place for a great holiday.
I loved Roda - Claire and Louis. Date of travel: Jul 2007
Roda was great. Plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment whether it be cars, mopeds or water parks. This area is great for all of the family. It doesn't have a busy nightlife with lots of clubs which is great. People are friendly and helpful and I would definitely go back to Roda.
Roda is Great - K. Warner. Date of travel: Jul 2007
Roda is Great
Roda was great, some very friendly bars and restaurants. Great sea food dishes, lovely beach with pedalos to hire. Roda was just a nice size not large toursity with lots of clubs. Extremely friendly place. Horse riding place was really good too as it takes you along the beach and olive groves but at a pace for everyone.
Roda - small and friendly - Pam & Paul. Date of travel: Sep 2006
Roda is a small but friendly village, lots of shops and restaurants, not many clubs to speak of. Lovely for an evening stroll along beachfront, no one pestering you to go into their restaurant. The village is quaint with lots of locals living in amongst shops and bars. Prices for food and drink are very reasonable and you can pick up some good bargains in the shops. Beach is fine, better beach further along which locals use. I would say that this resort is suited to older couples and people with younger children who are not looking for wild night life. Sidari would be a better choice if you wants clubs, etc.
Best holiday ever - Angela Niblett. Date of travel: Jul 2006
I went to Roda in Corfu and can honestly say it is one of the best holidays i have ever been on. The weather was gorgeous and the apartments i stayed in were ideal, situated next to the pool with poolside snack bar. The main street was a thirty second walk away and we visited quite a few of the local restuarants, the best being a restaurant called Bootleggers. There are many different coach trips which run from Roda's main street which are very reasonably priced so you can explore the rest of the island. Tour Operator: First Choice
We love Roda - The Payton family. Date of travel: Aug 2003
Not only have we got to know the family that run the apartments but we also know the people in the town and business people who run the tavernas bars and shops. Our daughter has always been spoilt with affection and their endless generosity - there is nowhere like it. Tour Operator: First Choice
