Tossa De Mar
Somewhat sedate compared to other Spanish resorts, Tossa de Mar on the Costa Brava has retained its quaint medieval old town centre which complements its good, sandy beaches. A holiday in Tossa de Mar is a pleasant experience with plenty of opportunity to relax, indulge in some fun shopping and hearty eating, and explore themore
Tossa de Mar Town - Pat J. Date of travel: Sep 2008
The location of Tossa de Mar is very picturesque and interesting. The streets are clean; no graffiti or rubbish. Felt safe walking out at night. Beaches are excellent. Would go to Tossa again but earlier in the year.

We have been going to Tossa de Mar for seven years, we have never had any problems. It's a very friendly, safe town. The local people are very friendly and helpful. The beach is clean and there is always space.

Very sedate and peaceful area with some lovely scenery, stoney beach but this is overshadowed by the fantastically blue sea. Get a snorkel and three steps into the water and you'll be mesmerized by all the beautiful fish. Only 25minute bus ride to Loret de Mar if you want more lively action. Very friendly locals, high street with name brands and bakeries and bars. Water World Park in Loret half hour away.
Lovely Tossa - Carile and Terry Villiers. Date of travel: Jul 2007
We have been going to Tossa de Mar since the 70s. We had a long spell (20 years) when we didn't go there. We have been going back for the last 5 years. It is such a pretty place and has changed very little. We have made many Spanish friends there, a lot of whom are still alive. We never book as we drive there. We always go to see Senor Soms who has his own letting agents and he always finds us great accommodation.
Beautiful hippified location - Diane and Andrew. Date of travel: May 2007
Staying in Blanes last May we decided to take a trip to Tossa de Mar and were very pleasantly surprised. The winding roads were lined with intriguing craft shops and we found some tranquil bars to relax in. The walk to the castle was exhilarating and we could enjoy a drink when we reached it. Liked it so much we are back this May.
Tossa de Mar - nice place - Nicole & James. Date of travel: Aug 2006
I would recommend Tossa de Mar for the older people or couples that want to get way to a nice quiet and peaceful place. There is not much to do in Tossa itself but can go on trips by boat, coach, bus. If you are looking for somewhere lively this is NOT the place for you. It's a small town plenty of places to eat would recommend Pano's as it's cheap and serves English food. The beach is stones not sand but still a nice beach.
Friendly - Errol Luis Manchez. Date of travel: Jun 2006
Every time we visit Tossa de Mar we have the best vacation. The people are among the friendliest I have encountered on all my travels in Spain and there are plenty of activities to keep me occupied. I have been here four times already and have no plans of halting another return.
