Costa Adeje
Costa Adeje is a popular resort on the Spanish island of Tenerife. Set against the back drop of Mount Teide it is an upmarket area featuring a number of superior hotels and modern villas. There is some excellent shopping to be had here, duty free bargains are easy to come by. Costa Adeje is justmore
Costa Adeje, loved the area - Derrick. Date of travel: Aug 2009
Costa Adeje, loved the area
Costa Adeje, lovely local pubs and eateries. Locals very friendly and helpful. Avoid the street sellers, sunglasses and watches rip-off copies, poor quality. Walk into La America's, about 30 minutes across beach, watch the sun set with the locals - superb.
We like Costa Adeje - Betty Miller. Date of travel: Mar 2008
There is very little we don't like about Costa Adeje - good shopping, good food, good beach... very good.
Rest and relaxation in sunny Costa Adeje - Scott. Date of travel: Dec 2007
Had a great time over Christmas with my wife in Costa Adeje. It neighbours Playa de las Americas, but is quieter and more upscale. Very quiet area which is great if you're really looking to get away. The beaches are fantastic, especial Playa del Duque and not nearly as crowded as the main tourist area of Playa de las Americas or Los Cristianos. The only downside is that we booked bed and breakfast and there just aren't that many restaurants around the hotel where we stayed (Gran Tacande) unless you want to troll around in a taxi or rent a car. That said, the hotel's breakfast buffet was great so we ultimately decided to try the hotel's dinner buffet as well. Dinner was superb and the service was top notch.
A fan Holiday (1100 for AI for 2 and 2 children AND this includes flights) - J. Date of travel: Apr 2007
Costa Adeje has everything you need, markets, shops, beach, parks, EVERYTHING! It is adjoining Los Christianos, only a 20 min walk away, 5 mins in taxi.

I have stayed in this area of Tenerife several times. It is approximately 45 minutes away from the airport by car. It is about 30minutes walk into the centre of playa de las americas, so if you want a lively evening out it is well within your reach. Costa Adeje has a much calmer way of life with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants for you to choose from but on a much quieter scale!! An ideal destination with year round sunshine.
