Beaver Creek in - Max Rapaport. Date of travel: Feb 2009
Beaver Creek is a resort I found less intense than Aspen but no less ritzy. It seems to be a bit more European chic rather than Hollywood glam which I would equate to Whistler in B.C. Canada. It was a lot of fun to ski not only on the mountain but around the village and right up to my hotel. There are also three villages but i though the best was Beaver Creek Village which I did not stay in. Arrowhead was great place but a bit too far removed from the nightlife and shopping, although this gets pretty quiet in wee hours for all the villages. I might make a shorter stay of it next time although I would visit again. It was also very expensive.
Great nightlife! - Kelley. Date of travel: Oct 2006
The dining up there is pretty good, but our favourite spot, which we found by accident, was Coyote Cafe at the base of Beaver Creek in the Village. It's a great bar with a full menu. We noticed most of the locals showed up after the lifts closed and it got pretty packed, but that made it so much more fun. We got to talk with a lot of the ski patrol and hear some great stories. We made it a point to visit every night we were there. Oh and the fish tacos are so yummy! I had them everytime. :-) They also have a DJ that comes in on the weekends and he ROCKED! Although we don't dance, we definitely loved the music. Definitely check them out, but really go anytime you'll have a great time. I know we did!!
