Attitash Travel Guide

Ranked among the top ski resorts in the eastern United States, Attitash encompasses both Attitash and Bear Peak mountains, and has a total of 68 ski runs. The resort is known for the variety of terrain it offers, and is a wonderful place to experience the snow and ski. Located in the heart of the White Mountains, it's a popular choice among skiers, though it offers varied winter and summer activities that are suitable for the whole family.

Skiing

The runs are fairly evenly divided between beginner, intermediate and advanced, meaning they cater to skiers of all skill levels. Snowboarders will enjoy the terrain park, which has over 1,700 feet (518m) of ramps, jibs, table tops and air hits, and 10 rails.

Shopping

Attitash has a few good shops to enjoy, but for those in search of some ski or snowboarding apparel, they need not look further than Attitash Sports, which is a full-service ski shop offering jackets, snowpants, helmets, goggles, backpacks, and much more. There are two Attitash Sports shops, one in the Main Base Lodge, their flagship store, and another at the Adventure Center.

Restaurants

The dining scene includes everything from a quick warm up to a tasty meal.

Nightlife

Apres ski options in Attitash are fairly limited, though there is the Ptarmigan's Pub, which offers two full bars, dining, and live music every Saturday afternoon.

Holiday activities

There are lots of activities at Attitash, apart from the obvious skiing and snowboarding. There is also a miniature water park, an alpine slide, mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding to choose from, which also makes Attitash a popular summer resort too. Attitash also offers visitors new attractions such as the year-round mountain coaster, which is a faster, more powerful version of the alpine slide, a climbing wall, a giant air bag jump, and the East Coast's longest single-span zip-line.

Any negatives?

Apres ski options are limited and serious party animals might be left disappointed.
