Getting Around

Adelaide's city centre is compact and easy to navigate, making walking and cycling simple and enjoyable. The city has plenty of bike paths, though its free bike hire scheme ended in 2018. For getting around, visitors can use the free City Connector bus, which loops through the CBD and North Adelaide; one route operates daily, while the other runs on weekdays. A Free Tram Zone also allows for easy travel within the city centre. For trips further afield, Adelaide has a suburban train network that connects to surrounding areas. Taxis and rideshare services such as Uber are widely available and can be booked via app, phone, or found at taxi ranks.
