Getting Around

Antwerp has an excellent integrated system of public transportation consisting of buses and trams. This network covers destinations throughout Antwerp and its suburbs. Taxis can be found at specific locations around town, but they can be expensive; ride-hailing apps such as Uber are an alternative. Visitors also have the option of hiring a car and driving is fairly straightforward in the city. Free parking is in short supply but drivers can always find a secure car park for a fee. Antwerp's dedicated bike lanes make cycling a great way to explore; visitors will find plenty of places to rent a bike for the day.
