Luanda International Airport (LAD)

Location

The airport is about 1.7 miles (2km) south of central Luanda.

Getting to the city

Visitors arriving in Luanda can take a local taxi from the airport or use a ride-hailing app. Taxis are available just outside the terminal, but if the meter isn't used, it's best to agree on the fare beforehand. Ride-hailing services such as Allo Taxi, Yango, Bolt, and Heetch operate in the city and usually accept credit card payments through the app. While public buses are an option, they tend to run infrequently and may not be convenient for those carrying luggage. For added convenience and safety, especially for late arrivals, it's recommended to arrange in advance for pickup by a hotel, sponsor or colleague.
