The airport is located approximately 10 miles (16 km) southeast of the city centre.

Getting to the city

SOTRA Bus Line 6 operates between the airport and central Abidjan (Gare Sud in Plateau). The journey takes between 35 and 50 minutes, and buses run from around 5.30am to 8.20pm. Orange taxis that charge negotiable fares are available; passengers should agree on the price before getting into the vehicle. Fares typically start around 6,000 XOF for the trip to the city and may double after dark. Rental cars and mobile app taxi services (such as Uber and local equivalents) are also available.

Airport Taxis

The safest taxis are the official orange taxis, although even these are often not metered. Numerous touts will try to offer travellers a deal but they are best avoided. Mobile app taxi services are also available.

Transfer between terminals

Travellers can easily walk between the adjacent Domestic and International Terminals.

Facilities

There's a bank with a currency exchange service, ATMs, a VIP Lounge, a pharmacy, shops, a bar and a cafeteria. A tourist and information desk is located in the main arrivals hall. Additional services include a post office, baggage wrapping and scales, a business centre, and prayer rooms.

Parking

There's one main parking area at Abidjan International Airport, with two parking lots available, located right outside the terminals.
