The airport is well connected to the city. The Dubai Metro operates from Terminals 1 and 3, with air-conditioned trains running every 10 minutes, daily from 5.30am to midnight. On Fridays, service begins at 1pm. The metro connects the airport to various major areas across Dubai. Public buses also leave regularly from stations opposite each terminal, but the routes can be extensive and confusing for first-time travellers. It's important to note that tickets must be purchased in advance, as bus drivers do not sell them. For easier terminal transfers, there's a 24-hour airport shuttle that connects Terminals 1, 2, and 3.

Car rental services are available in the Arrivals Halls of all terminals. Major international providers such as Hertz, Europcar and Sixt have counters at the airport.
Airport Taxis
Taxis are available 24-hours a day outside all Arrivals Terminals. They're cream-colored, and those with pink trim are driven by female drivers, offering a dedicated option for women and families.
Transfer between terminals
For travellers with connecting flights, there's a 24-hour shuttle service connecting Terminals 1, 2, and 3.
Facilities
Travellers will find Dubai Duty Free shopping across all terminals, along with food courts and restaurants offering a wide range of international cuisines. Banking services, ATMs, and currency exchange facilities are available. Free high-speed internet is accessible throughout the airport; entertainment options include a gaming lounge called Game Space. Business travellers will appreciate the business facilities and VIP lounges, and there are also 24-hour medical centres and pharmacies, as well as special needs assistance available upon request. For those who need accommodation, the Dubai International Hotel, located within the airport, offers premium rooms. Additionally, there's access to a gymnasium, Jacuzzi and swimming pool.

There are short- and long-term parking options near all the terminals. Short-term parking is near the terminals, while long-term parking is further away.

The A1 bus, operated by Abu Dhabi's Integrated Transport Centre, connects the airport to the city. It departs every 30 to 45 minutes, 24 hours a day, and stops outside Arrivals at Terminals 1 and 2. Travel time to the city is approximately 50 to 55 minutes depending on traffic.
