Climate in Bangladesh
Bangladesh has a very wet tropical climate dominated by its monsoon seasons. Most of the rain falls from June through September, followed by a cool, dry season until February, and a hot pre-monsoon period from March to May. Summer temperatures in Bangladesh often exceed 90 °F (32 °C) and are at their peak in April. Summer is also very humid and prone to thunderstorms.
The rainy season brings most of the the country's annual rainfall. Bangladesh experiences cyclones and flooding each year, with the highest risk between May and June and again from October to November. While earthquakes can occur, they are generally less of a threat than storms and floods.
Bangladesh is a good winter sun destination for travellers from the Northern Hemisphere. The best time to visit is between October and February, when the weather is mostly sunny and dry, with temperatures averaging around 75 °F (24 °C).
