Istanbul Airport (IST)

Location

The airport is situated 25 miles (40km) northwest of Istanbul.

Getting to the city

While there are plans to connect the railway, shuttles are currently the only form of public transport serving the airport. Havaist and IETT offer shuttle services, and tickets can be purchased at the airport. Taxis are also readily available.

Airport Taxis

Istanbul Airport is northwest of Istanbul and it takes around 45 minutes to an hour to reach the city centre by taxi. There are three main taxis: orange economy taxis, blue comfort taxis, and black premium taxis.

Transfer between terminals

There's one large, modern terminal at the airport, consisting of seven entrances. Gates 1 and 2 serve domestic flights, while the rest serve international flights.

Antalya International Airport (AYT)

Location

The airport is situated six miles (10km) from Antalya.

Getting to the city

Taxis are available from outside Arrivals and there's a bus service to Antalya from the Domestic and International terminals.

Izmir International Airport (ADB)

Location

The airport is located 11 miles (18km) from Izmir.

Getting to the city

The Havas airport shuttle bus to the centre of Izmir can be caught from the domestic terminal, and the İZBAN suburban railway connects the airport to the city, with services departing from the International terminal. Taxis are also available.

Dalaman International Airport (DLM)

Location

The airport is situated about four miles (6km) from Dalaman.

Getting to the city

Taxis are available outside the terminal and buses operated by Havaş connect the airport to Dalaman, Marmaris and Fethiye. These buses depart from the domestic terminal. Dalaman airport taxis connect passengers to the Otogar bus terminal.

Ankara International Airport (ESB)

Location

The airport is located northeast of Ankara, 17 miles (28km) from the city centre.

Getting to the city

Havaş bus service operates between the airport and a central city terminal, stopping at various points en route. Metered taxis are also available, and various private companies run shuttles.

Bodrum Airport (BJV)

Location

The airport is situated 22 miles (36km) northeast of Bodrum, and 10 miles (16km) south of Milas.

Getting to the city

Havaş Shuttle Bus (official airport transport provider) operates between the airport and Bodrum city centre, with departures timed to align with Turkish Airlines flights to and from Istanbul; public buses depart from Bodrum Bus Terminal approximately two hours prior to flight times. Metered taxis are available, with fixed and generally fair rates, and various private companies offer shuttle services to and from the airport.

Sabiha Gokcen International Airport (SAW)

Location

The airport is 22 miles (35km) south-east of Istanbul.

Getting to the city

Buses connect the airport to various parts of Istanbul, including shuttle services to the historical centre. Additionally, the M4 metro line has been extended to the airport, providing a direct connection to the city.
